Hi. I've Got Good News! And Bad. Such Is Life.

So, hi. Still not dead. Still in California. Still here and getting sick of wearing skirts and slacks. I miss sweatpants and large t-shirts.

Anyhow, we've had quite the week. We didn't go on a hike for preparation day this week. We goofed around at the park instead. Played Pictionary with chalk. However, since there's a time limit my art skills did not matter at all. We were supposed to give them a general idea and they guess it before the other team does. It was fun, even though the cement on the basketball court is now a rainbow of randomness.

We helped a lady named Maria shred paper at her house. And yesterday we helped her clean off her porch. We were stopping by a friend's house and they told us she could use some help. She's a very nice lady and enjoys the company. We helped a man named Robert clean up his backyard. We pulled up weeds and got his garden plots ready for planting, which we will help him with soon. I caught a Giant lizard in the middle of it. He was angry. Tried to bite us. We also helped a lady named Carla clean up her garage. Then she bought us McDonalds and started a conversation about religion. She has some things about the church she doesn't agree with but she said she'd love to meet up and discuss more so, new friend! We're teaching her now.

On Friday we went to the car dealership to get our passenger window fixed. It's a brand new 2023 Nissan Rougue but they seem to get a lot of issues. Our window can roll down but not back up. So we didn't have a car for most of the day. We had the other sisters drive us from the dealer and back when we had to pick up the car. And then we found a crack in our windshield. Like the day after. We have to get that fixed too now.

Elders are goofy. The spanish Elders found our car while we were out tracting, so they parked their car right behind ours. And put spanish pass along cards on our windshield. We had to do a ten point turn to get out of there. Later they stole our windshield wiper, and ten minutes later they brought it back and flashed their lights at us. They brought us Horchatas though so it's fine.

Anywhoo, that's all folks. Transfers are tomorrow, but I'm staying in the same area with the same companion. It'll be good. See ya later!
