Hi Everyone! Still Alive.

Hi everyone! Hope you have been doing well! It's been a rougher week but I've made it! I'm writing this in California and I haven't gone back yet. My job still isn't done. 


Not a whole lot has happened to be honest. We helped a member trim rose bushes and talked to them about how we can help some people in the ward because it seems like they just know all the tea. 


Lots of Gardening this week because we went back to a friend's house and helped him start setting up his garden. Planted like six kinds of pepper seeds and also tomatoes and different kinds of squash. He uses coconut husk and mixes it in with dirt and it holds in moisture! And using a flathead screwdriver makes it easier to get weeds that are in cracks in the sidewalk. This dude is a gardening genius. 


We had Exchanges on Saturday. This time I stayed in Newbury and had Sister Vanucci as my companion. I'll admit it was freaking me out because I was the one who knew the area best of us two and I'm still new. We tried our best though. Tried to do Yard Sale contacting which was unique I guess. The people who were in charge of it were Jehovas Witnesses though and we didn't want to cause contention so we didn't stay long. It seemed like no one opened their door while we were doing stop by, and someone tried to convince us of the trinity. Yeah, kind of a mediocre fay but we got frozen yogurt for her month mark so that was fun. 


Interviews was actually on tuesday instead of saturday like I thought. They had to change the schedule. Thats okay though because President and Sister Rodriguez are awesome! They're so cool. 


Not many pictures this week. Hope yall dont mind. Im sure i will have a lot more next time because were going somewhere very pretty for preparation day. See you all next time!

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
