I'm Staying Here!

We think there may be a rat in our laundry room. Last week on Preparation Day we let the other sisters in our district use our washer and dryer because they don't have one. Sister Stanger said there were pellet like things on the floor, and that It might be a rat. Looked closely at it, and it ain't dirt. So maybe a mouse or a rat. Idk what to do about him.

Anywhoo, after that introduction, we've had a good week. We got to teach some new friends! It's a father and a son. William and Anthony. They live in our area, so the sisters passed them off to us. They are great! William is very motivated and detailed in his study, and Anthony is breezing through! They've come to church for 4 weeks in a row! Amazing! We had a great lesson with them.

And yes, we worked with the horses at Ride On on Friday. We usually do from 2-4. It's really routine work. Make sure stalls are clean and get then make sure the horses are ready for their lessons. The horse I've got pictures with is named Fizz. Sassy and mouthy. Tries to eat everything.

On Saturday we spend a lot of it with the other sisters in our district. We helped them with service at this place called James' storehouse. They basically give supplies to foster children. And then, I feel like I have to explain what's happening in that picture. We got back from James' storehouse, we were letting the sisters use our apartment to change back into proselyting clothes, but first chaos happened. Flinged my rubber chickens everywhere, which somehow resulted in one of them trying to mop the cieling. Threw a shoe at a chicken trying to get it down. Left marks she tried to clean off. Then later that day, we wanted to try a Finding Exchange. We basically swapped companions and did Finding activities. I was with Sister Stanger this time. Not a lot happened for us. We did pray with a guy at a gas station though. He was cool. He pinkie promised he'd listen to a general conference talk. I hope he did. However, on the other side, Sister Taylor and Vannucci got on a bus to contact everyone who gets on, but instead of going in a loop in the area like they thought it would, they went out of the mission! They had to be picked up in Calabasas. Lesson learned, make sure you know the bus route before you get on it. Yeah, I don't know how Saturday was allowed to happen either.

Other than that, we've just been doing regular missionary activities. Knocking doors, texting, calling, knocking on more doors. And studying. Speaking of, my training is done! That's strange to think about. Hopefully I'm prepared to be a big-girl missionary now. And we've been preparing for transfers which are tomorrow. I'm staying. Getting a new companion, Sister Martinsen. Sister Taylor is going to Oxnard. Pray for her.
