I Thought Horses Were Herbivores
Howdy everyone! Here I am, writing this so my mom and grandma don't hunt me down. I seriously had a nightmare about it. One of those where you wake up in a sweat and then think to yourself 'what the heck'. It had some horror movie aspects to it, and then looking back on it makes it seem ridiculous.
I get to go immediately to the horses this week! I've got a picture of Cascabel this week. He's absolutely stunning. Sorry you can't really see his face through the fly mask haha. Also got a picture of Fizz trying to ear Sister Martinsen. That was pretty dang funny.
I forgot to tell this story last week. I went to put on my shoes, which I keep outside. Because, ya know, horse poo. I went to put them on and it felt like there was a rock in my left shoe. I fished it out and it took me a moment to process that it was a snail! Not a rock. Sister Martinsen laughed as I rolled down the window and threw him outside. It's not like they were on the floor outside either! They were on the balcony railing!
So, the man who we've helped with his garden a few times gave us seeds for a kind of flower. I decided to plant a couple. The mission says no pets, but I haven't heard anything about no plants! We have this mug in our apartment that's Grogu from the Mandalorian that frankly I don't want to drink out of it. I ain't drinking brains. So I put dirt in his head instead. And now he'll have a plant growing out of him. We'll see how that works.
Seeing as how transfers were on friday, we had new missionaries come into our area. On Saturday we got a call from the sisters saying they need another bed because they're in a trio now. My apartment used to have two sets of sisters living in it, so we had some extra beds and an extra dresser. Therefore because we're so nice, we struggled to take apart a bed frame and stuff it, the matress, and the extra dresser into the back of the Zone leaders' truck. Also the spanish elders must not have went shopping for groceries, because on Sunday they called us asking for flour and cheese. Said they've pretty much just got pasta noodles in their pantry leftover from the previous elders. I do remember said previous elders were always complaining about not having food in their apartment. I'm just assuming they were living off of protein shakes or something. Funny thing, I remember President and Sister Rodriguez wanted to make videos on recipies because they heard the Elders in this mission don't cook. You just proved them right elders.
I've actually grown to like cooking out here on my mission. Finding new recipies and trying them have been really fun! If you have any easy ones you'd like to share, let me know!
Okay bye!
