"Just Makes Sense."
Well hello everyone! Welcome back to my weekly email, and reminder that I still exist in the world somewhere. At least you have this proof I still exist. Anywhoo, I'll highlight some main events from the week. I also haven't told all of you much about the work itself so I'll give you all an update. Let's just say that it's going real well in Santa Maria.
Two people getting baptized?
We have the coolest guy ever getting baptized here on Saturday! His name is Theo, and he says everything about the Gospel just makes sense. That's like his catchphrase. He is super friendly and is really excited for his baptism. I'm giving a talk on the Holy Ghost so I'll tell all of you how that goes next week!
We have another friend named Jesus that has committed to baptism! He's so cool. We taught him about Joseph Smith, he felt the Spirit really strong, and now he wants to be a part of it. We're super excited for him! Now we got to teach him the rest of the lessons and see how it goes. I just hope that he'll still want to after we teach him the rest of the things. Pray for him please. It will help.
Living a life of service!
On Saturdays we go over to Genie's farm and help out however we can. She has a bunch of stuff she needs to get rid of so we've been loading it all up in a truck. Because of my knee I've been trying to take it easy though so I didnt lift much. We also lifted and moved bricks. One at a time for me. I honestly dont think I would have been able to lift more than that before.
We also unloaded a truck full of food donations! That was pretty fun. The whole zone was there helping! And then we all had a zoom meeting so we just went into the church and joined it as sweatballs. Yup.
Bonding with the members!
So, all the members are all super excited to meet us. We replaced Elders, so all the little old ladies are all so excited because we could visit them! The Young Women were super excited too! So, we joined their class on sunday, they like drooped at the mention of Elders and frankly it was hilarious. We joined them for their Thankful Pies activity and it was fun.
So yeah! That was the week for me. Well, the most exciting parts. My comp is funny and makes me laugh so it's fun. We try our best. I think this is it for this week, so I'll write again next week!
