We Spent 16 Cents On Gas...

The pump broke at 16 cents so, yeah. We then spent an additional full tank worth at the pump right next to it. It's only been three days but I'll do my best to make it a worthwile email. Don't have many pictures sadly. We have a general authority coming for zone conference and a tour of the mission, which is why this week is also super wack. I just hope it all goes well because it's cause quite the buzz in the mission. 



Thanksgiving! 

We had Thanksgiving with the Wyatts. They're cool. I didnt take any pictures with them sadly. It was a lot of fun. I started a painting of Jesus that I finished the next day. I'll include it in this. I'm giving it to one of the Sister missionaries in my district. It's gotten good reviews so far, but feel free to let me know what you all think. 



Black Friday

We did a lot of store contacting on Friday because it was Black Friday and EVERYONE was there. I ended up browsing a little bit... but I spent less than 40 dollars! Found some converse that were only 30 dollars when they normally are 65, so it was a lucky day. I'm going to paint on them so I'll let you know how they turn out. I started on them and so far it's going good. I've only done that like once before though so cross your fingers. 



Saturday lessons! 

We actually had only one out of four fall through! We had three lessons! It was fantastic. Our friend Melissa is doing so well! She's weaning off the coffee and is hoping to get some medicine for her anxiety. We're hoping it'll hope with withdrawls from cigarettes. She came to church yesterday and the three of us wore pink! Plus we had dinner with the Baileys, some members in our ward. Turns out that Lance, the dad, has connections to Beaver and Minersville! It seems that everyone here has some connection to hurricane or Beaver.

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
