Happy New Year!!
Yesterday, I was with the other Sisters, and I realized that when May comes, I'll have been graduated from high school for 4 years. I'm old. Some of these missionaries just came out of high school so when i'm around them I feel extra old. Well, I dont remember much of this week, but I'm going to say what I do remember.
Recovering from sickness!!
So, It turns out I started with a cold, then it turned into a sinus infection. On Tuesday I woke up from a nap and the other sisters were there. They called the Mission nurse and they wanted to take me to an urgent care. So we went. And they rejected my insurance because "they dont have a contract". In two places. Yeah, frankly, it was disgusting. But we were able to get a hold of a doctor who was a service missionary and he perscribed me with an antibiotic. Feeling a lot better now though ao at least that ordeal wasnt for nothing!
Brace Appointment and more Urgent Care!!
So on Thursday we had exchanges. Or I just hung out with my STL who was also sick. Yeah. That morning I had my appointment to get a new knee brace as my doctor ordered and we had a couple of zooms. Then we had a long nap. We had the thought in the early afternoon to call the mission nurse and see if maybe we could get Hermana Morgan something too because hers was bad. The doc went out of town sadly, but we found an urgent care that didnt reject us! And we waited for three hours to get her in. Yeah, it was a long day, especially since we were both sick as dogs but we are both doing better!
Late Christmas with Jesus!!
Our recent convert Jesus wanted to take us out for dinner on Saturday. Also had a little late christmas exchange. I crocheted a dragon, which I forgot to take a picture of and gave it to him for christmas. He seemed to like it. Especially since he really likes purple. He got us both gifts, which was super nice of him. Sister Manafield got some new nice shoes and I got a neacklace and some socks! It was so sweet of him and we had a good time eating good food and talking about the gospel. He said something precious, so I kind of felt bad that he was spending money on us so I mentioned that the gospel was free and that he didnt have to, and he said something along the lines of "Yeah, but it's priceless to me." My heart!! I almost cried.
Church!!
Yes, I was able to go to church this week and I'm so happy. I skipped a week and it was so sad. But we made it this week and it was so good!
So, that was what has happened this week. Hopefully I'll have more to write about next week. See you next time!
