Hi Again!

Well here we are again. I’m writing an email again and here you are reading again. As of this week I have 4 months left of my mission. Isn’t that crazy? And before you ask, I still have no idea what I’m doing after. But I’ve still got time to figure that out and I’m not going to worry about it! 


Ty’s Homecoming is official! 
We had quite the exciting weekend! Ty did a great job on his homecoming talk! And my dad did too I guess. I don’t know if that was because they couldn’t find anyone else to talk too or if he wanted to. It turned out well though and it was wonderful. 
And we had a crap ton of people over for a luncheon. We had sandwiches that were delicious and lots of cookies! It was good to see everyone but it’s also nice to have our house back after that ordeal. 


Switchpoint! 
This week I’m telling yall about the soup kitchen I work at on Wednesday mornings. Switchpoint is the name of the organization. It’s basically like a donation center, community garden, food pantry and homeless shelter all in one! It’s really quite fantastic. And we open the soup kitchen and prepare a hot meal to anyone in the community who needs it. And the food is actually quite good. If anyone needs a service opportunity, they take volunteers! Some come on a consistent basis and it’s truly amazing to me. The service missionaries help make the food and make sure we’re well stocked. I quite like it. 


Alright, sorry this is short but still good I think. I’m glad for all of you who have stayed with me this far and I hope you all stay for the next one. I’ve got less than 20 of these emails left to do so enjoy while I’m still doing them!

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
