Just Realized…
Last week was the only week in my entire mission that I’ve missed an email. That is really weird to think about for me. I no longer have a perfect streak.
I was out of the country…
And as I have mentioned, the reason I missed last week’s email was because I went on a trip to Mexico with my family. I’m not going to delve into too much detail about my vacation because it simply isn’t what the purpose of these emails are. I want these emails to help remind y'all that missionary work is still continuing. And I’ll admit I wasn’t doing that in Mexico. It was fun though! We did fun activities, ate good food and just had a good time. Tysen keeps telling people he’s had 13 different steaks in the past week so I figured I’d help him spread the word. I’m sharing a picture of the monkey named Ryan I saw too!
District Temple Trip!!
So, next on the schedule to write about is the temple trips my district does. Our Mission Leaders got told by President Staples that we should prioritize the temple in our service. This was a couple of months ago. So they wanted to try and do that by having all of us go as patrons once a week. It’s worked really well for us! We would reserve 12 spots in advance in one of the two temples in St. George and we try to rotate between doing Endowments or Baptisms and Initiatories. Recently though it’s just been Endowments because the baptisteries are full! Isn’t that a fantastic problem to have! Since it’s summer and all the kids aren’t in school, the temple is even more full! I even heard in my last temple shift that some kids would wake up early and ride their bikes to the temple to do baptisms before doing their other activities! I wish I was that dedicated as a young woman is all I’m sayin.
I’m sorry some of y'all didn’t see me at church this morning. We were getting home from Mexico and I came down with a nasty cold. I just hope I’m healthy by tomorrow because we got Zone Conference and my companionship of 4 is becoming 5 this week! I must have a record for most companions at the same time. I have never heard of anyone having more than two at a time before me.
Well, until next week, stay safe and remember that Jesus loves you! Oh and the chalkboard is courtesy of my primary class. I thought it was pretty funny.
