Sunburnt Knees And Watchin The Goonies
The title is exactly the situation I’m in right now. Mom reminded me to write this while we are watching a movie as a family. The Goonies was always one of Tysen’s favorites and he wanted to watch it. This movie has always scared me as a kid. Still kind of does but also doesn’t because it’s obvious it’s from the 80’s. To be honest I’m surprised Ty likes this movie because he hates scary movies.
Ordinance Worker stuffs!
I get to talk about my temple shift this week! Woohoo!! I love the temple so much. There are of course things I can’t say over email but I’ll tell you all a little bit about what I do. Generally speaking I help out wherever I’m needed. I do Initiatories, help at the veil, I’m at the baptistry office, and I also am stationed in the hallways sometimes and act as a direction woman. It’s kind of odd that for someone who has no sense of direction I can generally find just about anything in that temple now. Well, in the celestial room it’s hard to tell which exit leads to the stairs because it’s symmetrical but other than that I can generally tell people where to go. I think it’s a blessing from God at this point. I think that he knew I needed that spiritual gift because I would not be able to do this well if I got lost all the time.
Powell is stinking hot this time of year!
On Friday Morning we left for Lake Powell! It was so fun to be at the lake and hang with the family outside. Well, it was also over 100 degrees and the water was so warm it was barely refreshing to jump in. It’s a miracle we’re not all severely sunburnt. Well, Ty’s shoulder and my knees are pretty bad but no one else was too bad. We had a good time though and totally did some wicked surfing tricks. Well, tried at least.
Alright everyone, I believe next week I’m going to be talking about Deseret Industries. I hope I’m still qualified because I haven’t been in a couple of weeks haha. I hope you have enjoyed and I’m hoping I can finish this movie without having to walk out. I don’t know why but I still get the heebie jeebies. I think it’s child me remembering how this movie creeped me out. I think so. Anywho, stay safe and I hope you’ll read next week.
