I Got Promoted!
Hey everyone! I hope things are going well. School is starting this week. I’m sure some of you parents are excited for that. I know it’ll give my little brothers something productive to do. I didn’t like school when I was in it but it was better for me than being a lump on the couch. I have some news this week so brace yourselves I guess.
Another companion has died
Sister Amy, my dear companion, had decided after much thought and prayer to end her mission early and go to school. She was a truly valiant one and she worked hard. I’m glad I was able to be her companion for this time. She was the STL though and encouraged all of us to actually do our comp study. Whoever’s next has some big shoes to fill. Speaking of which…
So, I’m an STL now
You know, some people think that if you get an extra calling on top of being a missionary it makes you special but really so far it doesn’t feel any different. This afternoon I got a call from my mission leaders saying that they’d like me to be the new STL. Considering how there’s three sisters in my zone, there was a pretty high chance they would pick me. Especially since both of the other sisters haven’t been missionaries for as long. Can you all believe that? I’m an old missionary. So far it’s honestly more meetings on my agenda but we’ll see if there’s any perks that I haven’t heard of. If there is I’ll spill the beans.
I’ll be 22 on Wednesday
I feel especially old now to be honest. I started my mission when I was 20. I can’t believe it. It’s kind of funny to think that most my age have likely been done with their missions for a while. Also, if any of you catch Riggs saying I’m older than that, tell him why you don’t make a woman feel old. If it keeps going on there may be disastrous consequences.
I’m finally taking more steps to get my knee fixed so I’m hoping the appointments I’m making will help. I’m sure in the long run it will. It would be nice to be able to hop off the family boat without feeling like my knee is going to give out again. Got physical therapy tomorrow and an MRI on Wednesday. I’m hoping that they’ll get my results back soon so we can take whatever steps that need to be taken. Well, until next time folks!
