Still Here!

It’s strange to think that a year ish ago, I had my 21st birthday in California and was with my 2nd companion, Sister Martinsen. Well, she’s now Sister Jackson and I’m now 22. That’s weird. Time truly does fly doesn’t it? Since I did a poem/song thing last year, I’ll do one this year too.

Hope y'all like that one, because I’m not doing another! Because on Sunday I’ll be 16 months out and by this time next year I’ll likely be doing something else. 


STL struggles

It’s harder than I initially thought. I think it may be because Sister Amy made it look easy. I don’t know how she did it but she managed to get all five of us on a call to do comp study most days of the week and I’m struggling with two companions! Still waiting for those secret STL perks to manifest themselves but so far they still aren’t here. Oh well, as long as I’m trying my best the Lord will be okay with that. Maybe those perks show up after a month?!


Trying to get my knee fixed! (Finally) 

As I’m sure I’ve told some of you, my left knee has been bugging me again as of late, so I’ve been going to a doctor and doing physical therapy. So far Instead of alleviating the pain, it’s making me sore too, which isn’t ideal but if it works in the long run that would be just fine. I got an MRI on it and they’re going to tell me if they see anything urgent soon so cross your fingers so it goes well. 


This weekend I’m going to go to the cabin I think so that’ll be fun! I’m looking forward to it. I want to ride a 4-wheeler! Anyways, I’ll likely write again on Sunday. I forgot to last Sunday so that’s why this is late haha!

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
