Trust In The Lord
Well, hi everyone! I have no clue what I’m going to write about since I ran out of assignments to describe to all of you. I’m just writing this and seeing where it takes me.
School’s Starting Soon!
Much to the distain of my brothers and my primary class, school is starting next week. At least I think it’s next week. I haven’t been in school for a couple of years now so go easy on me.
This means things at the Institute will be much more busy. There’s an institute class for just service missionaries that was on Thursdays
while school was in session. I believe they’re starting that up again but we’ll see if I can go since my temple shift obviously takes priority. Guess we’ll see.
I Lost a Companion!
As of today, my companion Sister Bistline has died. Okay, for everyone who doesn’t know, when you’re released from your mission you’re ‘dead’ as they say. Some missionaries do a funeral and everything and it’s rather silly. Her ‘homecoming’ isn’t until the 11th but she also isn’t going to be working with us anymore. Sad. And then my other companions keep saying I’m next and I’m preferring to stay in the denial phase. No way it’s happening to me. Never.
YSA Devotional by Elder Uchdorf!
Tysen got to go to that in person and I’m a little jealous. He went with some of his old mission friends and the rest of us listened to it here at home. I’d say, it was so good! He hit how the young adults are right on the head. The statistics of how more young adults are afraid of the future than flying hit a little rough there. Honestly Elder Uchdorf, the reason I’m still in denial is that reason. He also brought up how these things can bring us to rely more on our savior and truly, that part was really awesome. Although sometimes I do with the For the Strength of Youth had answers to specific questions like ‘what am I supposed to do with my life after my mission’, I know that Jesus Christ will help me regardless and honestly, I wouldn’t learn a darn thing if I looked at a life equivalent of a cheat sheet. Also, I didn’t know that Sister Uchdorf was so funny! If you all have a moment, you should listen to that YSA devotional. I know not all of you are young single adults but I guarantee you’ll find something that applies to you. Or at the very least find it entertaining!
Thank you all for sticking with me all this time. I really appreciate it and I hope that this email was up to par.
