Well hello again! Another week has passed. It still feels crazy. I wish that if I dig my ankles into the ground time will slow down but unfortunately that’s not how it works.
Switchpoint concert!
While we were at the soup kitchen on Wednesday there was a concert of sorts. This country singer named Steven Cade came and sang in the parking lot. He wasn’t too bad. It was fun to listen to it while we were making food and stocking the pantry. He actually came into the pantry and me and a couple of the elders were trying to stay out of the way of the camera but others could care less.
Guess he was doing some kind of charity thing. At least that’s what I gathered from what I heard. I heard something about them giving a guitar to one of the Switchpoint residents. It’s good to see people who still care.
Arches National Park!
Half of this week I’ve been MIA because we went to our Arches trip. We’ve been planning this for a while now and I’d say it was pretty fun. I had to take it kind of easy because of my bad knee but it was still good. It’s too bad my knee hasn’t forgiven me for going on the Delicate Arch hike. That one was a doozy but it was worth it. I feel like everyone who has it on their license plate has to see it at least once.
Jeep Tour!
So, a little crazy story. So, while we were at Arches we went on a tour with Mild to Wild. They took us in a jeep and we saw some things we wouldn’t have been able to get to in the car we rented. One of which was a wind cave of sorts. Although it was really a pile of rocks. It was kind of cool. But on the way back we were stopped because someone’s jeep was on fire in the middle of the road. I’d say it was a tender mercy that everyone got out and no one was hurt. So that way we could watch it burn without feeling too bad. It was likely a bad day for the owner of said jeep but hey, it was kind of cool to look at.
Well, I’ve only got a few of these left! It’s crazy. Well, if you’ve heard of Steven Cade let me know because Wednesday was the first I’ve ever heard of him. And I guess you’ll hear from me next time!
