Mission Accomplished!

Abby, if you are reading this I had the idea of using this title before you posted your final email. Guess great minds think alike! 


Well, this is it everyone. As I am writing this, I have been released for only 20 minutes. This is so cheesy, but I have discovered that I am just  like those other missionaries when they bore their testimonies. I can’t believe I made it this far. I can’t believe it’s done. Course, my mission president told me that my life’s mission isn’t over because my mission is. If I keep going and do the things I’ve been doing, I’ll  be set up for a happy and prosperous life. He is very wise. 


While I have had a lot of success with the tag, I can still help even when I don't have one. There’s a scripture I used a lot when I’d go to member’s houses as a teaching missionary. It’s Alma 48:17. It reads: 


“Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.”


So basically, if we are all valiant like Moroni was, the powers of the devil would have no power over us. Of course, this was because Moroni was a man of God and had His help in all things. If we have the Spirit with us, and make the right choices, all will be well because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. 


I’m going to bear my testimony that this church blesses all of God’s children. That His church was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, who lives and who has granted to us go be with him in the Celestial Kingdom through his Atonement, as long as we are faithful. I love the prophet we have today, President Russel M. Nelson. He is also a man of god and he received direction for us today, directly from our Heavenly Father. 


Thank you all for sticking with me. Thank you all for your support and prayers. We love you. I love you and I know for a fact that Jesus does too. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
