Blake Has Been Blessed!!

Also Happy Birthday to little bro Riggs and my cousin Fasie! Hope you both had a great birthday!! Anyways, I’ll tell you about the week! 


Children of Hope is Out for the Summer!!
School is going out, so I have got to get another assignment for Monday mornings. What I do at Children of hope is I help people with learning disabilities do their homework and hopefully help them get what is going on. But seeing as school is going out, so are they. A change of schedule is coming up and we’re thinking that I could go to the Institute in the morning and then do the Family Search Outreach program. The Institute is going to be the same but the Outreach program is helping somehow with family history not in the Family Search center. I don’t know all the details yet but they asked me if I could help and I thought why not try. 


Endowments at the St George Temple!
That’s what we did on Tuesday. I will say, the Endowment murals are absolutely gorgeous. I wasn’t here for the Open House so I’m seeing it all now. I love it. It did take me a while to find everything though because as I’ve mentioned previously, I think working in the other temple has let me learn directions better there. 


Institute Project! 
So we’re doing something new in the Instutute. We are making rugs for refugee apartments with strips of fabric. We weave the strips of fabric together just like a mat but with fabric. I unfortunately don’t have a picture but maybe I can get one for next time. 


D I finds!
I’m going to start telling you things I find at DI because some of them are really funny. And I send pictures to Mom anyways so I can attach them here too! I found this really weird mug that is a nurse? It looks like a muppet on a mug and it’s ridiculous but we bought it anyways. Mom’s putting it in her office. 


Baby Blake’s Blessing!
My cousin had his Baby Blessing on Saturday and it was so special. It was just close friends and family so there wasn’t a lot of people and honestly that’s how I like things. It was great! And then we proceeded to eat way too much dessert!


Happy Birthday Riggs and Fasie!!
For Fasie’s birthday there was a cake at the baby blessing. It was good cake. And then we hung out for a while and went to the D I in Salt Lake. Yes, that is what we all bond over now. Seeing if we can find good used junk. Keaton and Riggs found Tennis rackets for less then 10 dollars! And for Riggs we went to Hu Hot. Good food! 


I think this is it for this week folks! I’ll attach the pictures I’ve got but as I’m sure you’ve noticed, I’m garbage at taking my own pictures and so I snatch them from other people. Whatever works I guess! I’ll see if I do better on that this week.

More At The Temple Open House!!

Hello everyone! I’m back again with another email. I’m sending this on time today! Woohoo!! This one’s going to be short but I think it is something I should share nevertheless.  Open House!  I’ve really enjoyed my time at the Red Cliffs Temple so far. I get to help these people who otherwise wouldn’t be able to walk around the temple at all. It makes me feel like I have an important job even though most of the time I just write numbers on a clipboard. I got to take a few people in myself and I love how they become silent in reverent wonder at the beauty of it all. It really tells me that the spirit is definitely there and I can feel it too!  Pushing Grandpa I helped Grandpa Reynolds in a wheelchair. I’m not a jerk I swear. XD That was a fun experience that I was able to look at it with my family. I’ve been through the tour a bunch of times but It’s different when you’re with your family. I Love Conference

Hi! As I’m sure you know, General Conference was this weekend. I’ve been so excited about it and it certainly didn't disappoint. Everyone did an excellent job and the spirit was present. I loved them all. I really need to look back and study them again. I forgot who did what ones but there was a couple I really liked in the Saturday sessions about being peacemakers. How despite the world around us we can still show the love of god. Actually, I think one of them was from Elder Oaks. He did fantastic.  I also loved that Brad Wilcox spoke this afternoon. He is one of my favorite speakers. He also did one of the most listened to BYU devotionals ‘his grace is sufficient’. It’s so good and so was the talk he did today. I love how he said you can’t be a lifeguard if you look like all the other swimmers. Inspiring.  I’d like to share a little tender mercy that was a couple of weeks ago. Hi Again Everyone!

I am back at it again this week! With yet another email. I know it’s late, but I almost forgot and I was saved by Mom threatening to beat me with a wet noodle. So I didn’t forget and as I’m writing this I’m keeping an eye on all the pasta. And Mom. She’s looking at me very ominously across the table.  Zone Conference!  As I mentioned last week, I had Zone Conference! On Monday we met at basically in the same time and same place as District Council, but it was longer and with more people. I can now say I have officially met my new Mission president! President Staples and his wife are sweet. I got a picture with them.  Temple Trips! And no, not just to the Red Cliffs one. Me and my Companion Sister Amy did some Initiatories in the newly Re-dedicated St. George temple. They remodeled it like they had it originally in the pioneer days, and they used rich colors and beautiful curtains. I love it!
