Frisbees!

Image
So, last week me, Ty and Keaton tried frisbee golf, and it was fun! However Ty accidentally threw his driver frisbee in the pond (we were in Grandpa’s Pond). Normally we just would have dismissed it and said “whelp it’s gone” but that particular frisbee Ty got on his mission in Oregon. So of course we stayed up late looking for it. But considering it was dark and the pond was murky we didn’t find anything.  But later Tysen went in his trunks and found his frisbee plus like 4 more. We don’t feel too bad for him. Especially since he just beat me in  skull king. Deseret Industries!! So since I didn’t last week, I get to talk about Deseret Industries! Otherwise known as the DI. What us volunteers do is we basically help the employees with whatever they’re doing. I usually work in the clothing department. Basically I sort out the good clothes from the ones we don’t keep. We check for stains, holes, and other wear and tear. We Bale the ones with those things, in which we either thr...

Sunburnt Knees And Watchin The Goonies

Image
The title is exactly the situation I’m in right now. Mom reminded me to write this while we are watching a movie as a family. The Goonies was always one of Tysen’s favorites and he wanted to watch it. This movie has always scared me as a kid. Still kind of does but also doesn’t because it’s obvious it’s from the 80’s. To be honest I’m surprised Ty likes this movie because he hates scary movies. Ordinance Worker stuffs!  I get to talk about my temple shift this week! Woohoo!! I love the temple so much. There are of course things I can’t say over email but I’ll tell you all a little bit about what I do. Generally speaking I help out wherever I’m needed. I do Initiatories, help at the veil, I’m at the baptistry office, and I also am stationed in the hallways sometimes and act as a direction woman. It’s kind of odd that for someone who has no sense of direction I can generally find just about anything in that temple now. Well, in the celestial room it’s hard to tell which exit leads...

Frog And Toad Are Back Apparently.

Image
Me and Avery were at Target and in the Men’s section and we saw these tshirts featuring Frog and Toad from the children’s books. I immediately thought of the missionary meme of missionaries on P-Days on the one about Frog and Toad doing nothing together. I tried to find it to put in here but I couldn’t find it haha. I hope it’s funny nevertheless.  The Remote is Operations Center.  Technically on the schedule I would talk about the Stitching hearts but since I’ve already written about it I’m going to skip it. The ROC is basically a whole center where a bunch of service missionaries and senior missionaries go index for Family Search. We index hundreds of records a day from all over the world! It’s truly a great work. If you all want to learn more about indexing let me know! It’s a great way to help people with their family history.  I really don’t know how else to describe it. We are at desks and index. We have a devotional in the middle and after we share dumb riddles and...
