Hi Again!

Image
Well here we are again. I’m writing an email again and here you are reading again. As of this week I have 4 months left of my mission. Isn’t that crazy? And before you ask, I still have no idea what I’m doing after. But I’ve still got time to figure that out and I’m not going to worry about it!  Ty’s Homecoming is official!  We had quite the exciting weekend! Ty did a great job on his homecoming talk! And my dad did too I guess. I don’t know if that was because they couldn’t find anyone else to talk too or if he wanted to. It turned out well though and it was wonderful.  And we had a crap ton of people over for a luncheon. We had sandwiches that were delicious and lots of cookies! It was good to see everyone but it’s also nice to have our house back after that ordeal.  Switchpoint!  This week I’m telling yall about the soup kitchen I work at on Wednesday mornings. Switchpoint is the name of the organization. It’s basically like a donation center, community garde...

Just Realized…

Last week was the only week in my entire mission that I’ve missed an email. That is really weird to think about for me. I no longer have a perfect streak. I was out of the country… And as I have mentioned, the reason I missed last week’s email was because I went on a trip to Mexico with my family. I’m not going to delve into too much detail about my vacation because it simply isn’t what the purpose of these emails are. I want these emails to help remind y'all that missionary work is still continuing. And I’ll admit I wasn’t doing that in Mexico. It was fun though! We did fun activities, ate good food and just had a good time. Tysen keeps telling people he’s had 13 different steaks in the past week so I figured I’d help him spread the word. I’m sharing a picture of the monkey named Ryan I saw too!  District Temple Trip!! So, next on the schedule to write about is the temple trips my district does. Our Mission Leaders got told by President Staples that we should prioritize the temple...

Ty’s Home!!

That was the best part of the week. My little brother came home and is with us once again. It’s crazy to me that he was gone for two full years! It seems like it was not long ago that me and Mom were crying over his departure. But also a lot has happened at the same time. It’s a little jarring, like a dream. Kind of feels like he’s going to be gone again on the morrow. Missions seem to do that to you. Seriously though, he describes what it’s like to be back and I get nostalgia about what it was like for me in January. At least I’m still a missionary! HA! And as for the match of Reese vs Tysen, it has yet to be decided. She seems to like him well enough though so we’ll see if the epic battle continues!  Family Search Center!  This week’s service location is the Family Search center. Most service missionaries who serve in the Family Search center usually do this instead of the Outreach program. Probably because the Outreach people think Sisters are better at it than the Elders. ...
