Happy Easter!

Image
Happy Easter everyone! I hope you all are having a fantastic time celebrating. You know, Easter is one of my favorite holidays. Just the fact that we are rejoicing over the Atonement of Jesus Christ is alway something to feed the spirit. The Crucifixion and suffering in Gethsemane are awful to imagine, don’t get me wrong, but remembering the fact that Jesus did it is amazing. He could have said no. He really could have! But he went through it for each of us so we can get back to our Father in heaven.  There’s a couple of songs I’ve been thinking about today that I’d recommend tuning in for. They’re about the atonement of course, so they’re more solemn songs but they bring the spirit into the ears. I’m sure most of you know the primary song Gethsemane, it always brings warmth to the soul as you listen to the words saying how Jesus loves me, and so he went willingly to suffer for all my pain and sorrow and sins. It’s one of my all-time favorites. There’s also  At the Cross by Ch...

11 Months!

Well Hi everyone! It’s me again! I kinda want to say you’re favorite service missionary but I don’t know how accurate that would be. Hopefully I’m in the top 5 at least! Anywho I’m going to make this a quick one and tell y’all about this week! Even more temple!  On Tuesday my district met about having all of us service missionaries visit the temple as a patron once a week. We’re trying it out and seeing how it goes for now. It’s starting this Tuesday so I’ll see how it goes. Also, I got my family to go with me to do Baptisms for the dead again on Thursday! You know, I was discussing with my companion this but when in the temple, try to tune in with the spirit, and see if you can feel the joy and peace in the room. I think it’s from the people who we are getting baptized for because it seems to have individual hints to it. That could just be me though. I’d encourage y’all to try it. See if it enhances your temple experience. Temple dedication!  Today the Red Cliffs Utah temple ...

I’m An Ordinance Worker Now!

While I’m writing this email, my mom is shuffling cards after my victorious round of Village Idiot. I wasn’t the Idiot so I won. Hopefully I get another round of victory this one.  Temple Trip!  On Friday some of the other missionaries and I went too the Cedar City Temple for an Endowment session. They made a new video for it so check it out! They did a pretty good job! We had tacos at Brody’s before our appointment and it was delicious as always! It did snow though. I’m not a huge fan of snow but Sister DeMille loves it so I guess God can show her that tender mercy. It’s kind of interesting how perspectives are, like how I don’t like it in the moment but she learned to take it as the blessing it was. Just something to think of. Next time we think of a trial, maybe we can try to think of the positives and see it as the blessing it is.  Temple Shifts!  While I’m waiting for Dad to deal, I’ll tell you all about Saturday! After I spent some time with my good friend Em (...

Best Day Ever!!!!

I have had a fantastic week! I’m so excited to tell you about it! I’m just going to hop into it because I don’t really have much to say in introductions this time.  New Service Assignments!  So, as I mentioned last week I’ve got some new assignments. They’re good so far! I’m still waiting for the Animal Shelter to get back to me but as always the Family Search Center is treating me good. I started also at the Remote Operations Center (ROC) where we do indexing! I really like indexing so it checks out. Now the exciting parts happened on Saturday!  Temple Trip and Surprises!  Saturday is where the good stuff is! So I went to my Temple appointment and I called Sister Mansfield because she said she wanted to say something. At first she asked me about the weather in St. George all sneaky like. And she then told me she was in Hurricane! I was able to visit her! It made me so excited. It was so fun to catch up.  Elder Bednar!! As I have mentioned last week, Elder David...

New Cousin Blake!!!

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the email of Sister Reynolds. Hope you all are doing well! I told Mom I’m going to keep this short but she replied that I always keep it short. Which is true, but it also means I’ve become predictable. Darn it.   Assignment changes!! Seeing as last week was the last week of the Temple Open House, I had to start talking with my Service Mission Leaders to get my schedule filled in the gaps. I’m going to work at the Institute’s service project twice a week instead of one, I’m going to work in Indexing and also an animal shelter. We’ll see how it goes this week and see if any changes need to be made. I would go and be an ordinance worker at the temple, but interviews for that aren’t here yet. I’ll likely try and switch something around to do that once that opportunity arrives.   Baby Blake!!! My aunt Haley(Hoover) had a baby boy a couple of weeks ago. His name is Blake and he is adorable! Me, Mom and Ave left for a few days this week to help ...
